Export Market Development Grants (EMDG)
Export Market Development Grants (EMDG) are provided to Australian businesses for the international promotion of Australian goods, services, intellectual property rights and know‑how.
These export grants are administered by the Australian Trade Commission (Austrade) and provide financial support for export marketing activities.
Rebates for up to 50% of your eligible expenditure
The EMDG Scheme provides for a reimbursement of up to 50% of certain eligible expenditure (within certain threshold limits).
Eligible expenses can be for things like marketing and promotion, visits to trade fairs, overseas representation, sending free samples, patents, trademarks and more.
Grants are lodged annually
Grant applications are lodged annually, and Australian businesses are eligible for multiple grants over a period of years.
